Order Notifications
An order notification is an administrator copy of the order received. Administrators typically work with reports and orders directly via the backend, but having a "hard copy" of the order in an email archive can be helpful for record keeping requirements.
Subject
This is the subject line of the order notification. The text - Invoice No. 0000-0000
will be appended to the subject line, with 0000-0000
becoming the actual invoice number.
From
Set this to the name and email address that the email should be sent from. This is like a return address on an envelope. Note: This field is required by email servers. If it is omitted, the email is usually discarded without notice.
The domain used with the From email address must be able to pass SPF checks against the configured SMTP server listed as a valid sender. Failure to meet this requirement will greatly reduce your delivery rates through junk/spam filters. When using Mealsite's SMTP service, this setting may be set to do-not-reply@mealsite.com.
"Name" <info@example.com>
Reply To
If you are using a From address other than the one you wish to receive email replies to, possibly on a domain you do not own, set a different Reply To email address. The customer's email program will direct their replies to you instead.
"Support" <support@example.com>
To and BCC
The To value determines where the emails should be sent. All recipients in the list will be able to see the others.
The BCC value determines where the emails should be sent as a Blind Carbon Copy (BCC). These email address will not be revealed to the other recipients.
email@example.com "Name" <email2@example.com>
Multiple recipients may be added when separated by a comma.
email@example.com, "Name" <email2@example.com>, email3@example.com
Purchase Receipts
A purchase receipt is sent to the billing address provided by the customer during checkout. Tip: If you need a "hard copy" of these emails for record keeping purposes, add yourself as a BCC email address.
