What's New?

Mealsite is constantly improving to make your workflow easier and more efficient. Your suggestions and feedback help decide which new features are the most important. Here are some notable improvements made within the last few years to the administration backend.

New for 2019

Faster!

The ordering calendar and menu editor load much faster. This internal rewrite also paves the way for new features and better ordering experiences!

Improved Mobile Ordering

Mobile ordering was fully available before, but now a per-day interface is provided with a small calendar navigation above it. That means no more panning left and right through the week on small phones to make product selections.

Monthly Products

Do you offer lunch at a flat price for the entire month or offer a daily snack program? Mealsite now supports bulk products where a single purchase covers multiple serving days in the month.

Custom Price Level Labels on Reports

Use your own price level coding system on the reports and label sheets.

New for 2018

Printed Label Sheets

Export the Daily Report onto standard size labels for attaching to your satellite deliveries. Skip the Excel step entirely and even send the label sheet by email automatically to the food preparers.

Scheduled Reports

The Daily Meals Report can now be run on a schedule by email, including Excel and Label Sheet attachments.

Bulk Cancel Tool

Snow days and other days schools are closed are easy to cancel and refund with the bulk cancel feature.

Premium Pricing for the FREE Price Level

A price can now be entered for a product's Free price level. This allows customers on the Free price level to purchase premium selections by paying the difference.

New for 2017

Mobile Ordering

New responsive theme makes it easy for customers ordering from their phone or tablet.

Customer Accounts

Parents may preconfigure their students and billing info to allow faster ordering.
Review past orders.

Guest Ordering

Accounts are encouraged, but Guest ordering is still available.

Support for Free and Reduced Price Levels

Parents of students on free and reduced lunch programs may now place their own orders online (account required).
Preload a student roster with price level information so customers may place free/reduced orders immediately after creating an account. No waiting for administrator approval.
Optionally, price level requests can be managed through the site if manual approval of free/reduced customers is required.

Require Other Purchase

Offer choices included with any meals, such as water, milk, and other sides, but only if the customer actually purchases a meal.
