Order Form Configuration

The Order Form configuration affects how customers place orders through your Mealsite.

Accept Orders

Accept or disable all ordering for your Mealsite. This is a master switch that can be used when no more orders are expected or a Mealsite is just being setup.

Note: Even with ordering disabled, administrators may still submit orders through the backend.

Guest Orders

Offer guest (no account) checkouts. The account setup process for Mealsite only requires an email address and password to get started, and some features of Mealsite work best when a customer account is required, so it is recommended to leave guest ordering turned off unless you specifically want to offer guest ordering.

Note: Guest orders may still be placed through the backend. Some features, such as customer price levels and the student roster, require a customer account.

Start Month

Configure the beginning month that your Mealsite is currently accepting orders. If this input is left empty, Mealsite will auto discover the first month that has product selections. When the start month has no more selections available, the configuration will automatically advance to the next month so your customers do not potentially see an empty calendar for the month.

End Month

Configure the ending month that your Mealsite is currently accepting orders. If this input is left empty, Mealsite will auto discover the last month that has product selections. This feature is an effective way to work on future months before making them available to order, but if it has a defined value it will have to be manually updated. Mealsite will not assume you are ready to open a new month when the previous month passes.

Days Advance

How many days in advance do you require orders to be received? Combined with Cut-Off Time, Mealsite will calculate which products are available for ordering. Common setups configure this as 0 to 3 days, which means at least that many 24 hour periods are required for a product to still be offered on the frontend.

Note: Administrators may still place orders for serving days that have already passed.

Cut-Off Time

What specific hour of the day do you need all orders to be received by? Combined with Days Advance, Mealsite will calculate which products are available for ordering. Common setups configure this as None (Accept All Day) or 8:00 AM, which means at least that many hours are available for ordering in addition to the Days Advance configuration.

Note: Administrators may still place orders for serving days that have already passed.
